Iran’s ‘Untimely’ is to vie at the One Country One Film in France.

Iranian feature film ‘Untimely’ has been picked for screening at the One Country One Film Apchat-Issoire International Film Festival in France.

Poura Eshtehardi’s feature will be among the seven competing titles at the 11th edition of the French festival.

The film narrates the story of a soldier who has done something forbidden while on duty, so he has lost his chance to go to his sister’s wedding ceremony.

His obligation to stay at the military base makes him remember his life story from childhood to the date.

Iman Afshar, Shayan Afshar, Ayyoub Afshar, Mahsa Narouee, Ava Azarpira, and Mollabakhsh Raeesi are among the cast members of the flick.

‘Untimely’ has been screened at some global events and received a number of awards, including the best feature film and best editing at the Asian Cinematography Awards, the best film, best director and best cinematography awards at the Tokyo independent films celebration in Japan, as well as the Best World Cinema Feature award at the Kansas City International Film Fest in the US.

The film will soon premiere at movie theaters of the Art and Experience cinema group in Iran.

The One Country One Film International Film Festival is an event held in two different venues of Apchat and Issoire in France.

The fest accepts works in various categories of short, feature and children films.
